Thanks for your interest in Forever Fir!

I created the first Forever Fir tree in December 2018 after looking in vain for something online.  I had owned an artificial tree for years, but our dear cat would eat (and subsequently regurgitate) the plastic needles.  The plastic tree was nearing the end of its life, and I wanted something that would last forever and use no plastic or fire retardant chemicals.

I also wanted a tree that would really show off the 200 and counting ornaments I've collected as mementos of my travels.  The trees I found online were either too short or too fat or too weird looking, and none of them would hold even close to the number of ornaments I wanted to display.

So my husband and I sat down at the kitchen table and banged out a rough design for a tree that would look like a Noble fir.  We built the base together, then I spent the better part of the next week chopping, sanding and methodically drilling almost 1000 holes completely by hand!

We loved the result, and everyone who saw our tree said "You should sell that!"  So here we are!

I now own a drill press, making the drilling part of the job much easier (and straighter), but I still do all of the woodworking myself.
